Chasing the 4 of Clubs

Support the Clay County Fair with the Chasing the 4 of Clubs Fundraiser. It’s a progressive 50/50 drawing chasing the 4 of Clubs. Tickets are sold at the Clay County Fair office daily and at select locations on Wednesdays. Two winners will be drawn each Wednesday at approximately 7:45 pm.  Two weekly winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to the host location and have a chance of drawing the 4 of Clubs at the Grand Finale and winning half of the total event pot. Battle of the Badges

It’s the annual Battle of the Badges on Sunday, February 25th at Laddie E. Cimpl Arena on Mount Marty University Campus. The exhibition basketball game will start at 1:30 pm as the Yankton All Stars takes on The Sheepdogs. The main event starts at 3pm. The Yankton Police & Sheriff’s Office VS the Yankton Fire & Emergency Medical Services.

Admission is $5 and kids ages 12 and under are free. Don’t miss your chance to win great prizes like a flat screen TV, air pods, & more! All proceeds support Yankton Area Special Olympics and Battle of the Badges Scholarship Fund.


St. Rose Fish Fry

Join St. Rose of Lima on Friday, March 8th for a Fish Fry. Serving all you can eat pollock, baked beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and dinner roll from 5-8pm or until gone. Adults $15, Children ages 6-12 are $7, and kids 5 and under are FREE! Local delivery and carryout available from 4-5:30 by calling 402-388-4393 after 4pm. NO DRIVE-THRU.


Lewis & Clark Home Show

Join the Lewis & Clark Home Builders Association for the 2024 Home Show on March 9th and 10th from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy home and garden events featuring local builders, contractors, landscapers, decks, garages, windows, wi-fi and more! Everything you need to make your dream home a reality. The Lewis & Clark Home Show is located at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.

Hunt the Leprechaun

Those tricky leprechauns from Ireland have infested the Mead Museum and we need kids to hunt them down! On Saturday, March 16th from noon-4pm, families are invited to a kid’s free day at the Mead Museum in Yankton. Bloomfield Music Dept. Fundraiser

The Bloomfield Music Department is hosting a huge Mattress Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, March 16th, in the Bloomfield High School gym from 10am-4pm. The gym will be transformed into a mattress showroom with 30 different mattresses on display. Supporters can lay on and try out mattresses as you would in any mattress store showroom! Mattresses can be ordered in ANY size (twin, twin xl, full, queen, king, California king, split king & custom sizing available).

There will be more than just mattresses available. Adjustable bases, box springs, bed frames, pillows, mattress protectors, sheet sets, and more! Shop for new mattress and/or accessories while supporting the music department for raising funds for new show choir risers. All form of payments will be accepted. All products will be delivered 3-5 weeks after the event.


Rivercity Rainbow Chase

Lace up your running shoes and kick off your St. Patrick’s Day with a chase for the ages through the beautiful river city of Yankton. Whether you’re looking to compete in the exciting 5K race or feeling lucky enough to tackle the Lucky 7 mile race, you’re sure to reach the end of the rainbow.

The Rivercity Rainbow Chase will be held on Sunday, March 17th at 1pm. Ben’s Brew Station will once again host the pre and post race shenanigans for your enjoyment! Don’t miss out on this fun for the whole family event! Register today at


KYB Great American Cleanup

Join Keep Yankton Beautiful to work together and clean up the streets and green areas of Yankton! This annual event will take place on Saturday, April 27th at 9am. Individuals, businesses, civic organizations, church groups, families, and any other group interested in participating are invited to join for this event beginning at Memorial Park South Picnic Shelter.

Meet at Yankton’s Memorial Park South Picnic Shelter at 9 am to get your route assignment. Volunteers will receive garbage bags, plastic gloves, and a route for the cleanup. (BYO gloves if you have them!) Donuts and coffee will be available at the park. Route lengths and times vary and will be assigned based on ability and preferences. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing.

The Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program, taking place annually with over a half million volunteers participating within the hundreds of Keep America Beautiful affiliates nationwide.
