Chasing the 4 of Clubs

Support the Clay County Fair with the Chasing the 4 of Clubs Fundraiser. It’s a progressive 50/50 drawing chasing the 4 of Clubs. Tickets are sold at the Clay County Fair office daily and at select locations on Wednesdays. Two winners will be drawn each Wednesday at approximately 7:45 pm.  Two weekly winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to the host location and have a chance of drawing the 4 of Clubs at the Grand Finale and winning half of the total event pot. June Bragging Rights

Bragging Rights On Thursday Nights is back on June 27th! Support the community and non profits with your love of cars! Bring your classic car, motorcycle, or anything you have! Each month, a different non profit organization will be serving the meal for a free will donation. Bring your lawn chairs, come out for food, friends, music wile supporting the community! Bragging Rights is located behind Missouri River Associates, 124 Walnut St. in Yankton.

July 3rd on 3rd Block Party

Kick off the Independence Day the right way with the July 3rd on 3rd Block Party! Enjoy food vendors starting at 4pm. Jam out to Rock Hardys from 7-11pm at the corner of 3rd Street & Douglas in Yankton.

Springfield 4th of July Celebration

Join the City of Springfield to celebrate Independence Day! Events kick off on Wednesday, July 3rd, with the Springfield Rodeo with Mutton Bustin, Cowboy Calcutta, and Bull Riding! A street dance will follow at 9pm featuring Dustin Evans. The 4th of July starts off with the Firecracker 5K at 9am. Enjoy games in the park featuring horseshoe, bean bag, & volleyball tournaments. Registration at 11am. Food vendors will be at the Marina at 5pm, plus a cake walk, & inflatables. The crowing of the Frog Queen and Frog Jump will be at 8pm. The celebration ends with fireworks at dusk.

St. Helena 4th of July Festival

The 90th annual Saint Helena 4th of July Festival is a celebration of community, togetherness, and the spirit of independence. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy a day filled in St. Helena. Events include corn hole tournament, bingo, volleyball & softball tournament, broasted chicken dinner, and fireworks! City of Yankton 4th of July Celebration

Spend a full day of activities celebrating the USA along with celebrating the 100th birthday of the Magnificent Meridian Bridge on Thursday, July 4th! Events start at 9am with the National Park Service will host their Junior Ranger Program in Riverside Park. Enjoy discounted day passes for Open Swim at The Huether Family Aquatics Center, plus crafts and activities for the whole family! Food and treat trucks will be vending at Riverside Park starting at 6pm, as well as face painting, balloon art, and Music at the Meridian community mural tile painting. Local musicians Startz and Endz perform from 6-7pm at the greenspace at Riverside Park. Headliners “Not Quite Brothers” will perform from 7:30-9pm. The celebration ends at 10pm with the annual City of Yankton fireworks show!

July 5th Meridian Bridge Centennial Celebration and Drone Show

Join the City of Yankton for for the Meridian Bridge Centennial Celebration and Drone Show on July 5th. Enjoy events at Riverside Park in Yankton. Beanbag toss tournament starts at 4pm. Local musicians Reinvented Wheels perform as the opening act for the evening’s celebration at 6pm. Food, treat, & drink trucks will be vending at Riverside Park starting at 6pm, as well as face painting and balloon art. Logan Mize will headline the concert at 7:30pm. Enjoy the fist city held drone show in South Dakota sponsored by First Dakota National Bank. See the story of the Meridian Bridge through drones in the air, narration, and music.

Kids Summer Series

It’s going to be a space-tastic day at the Yankton Community Library. On Monday, July 8th, at 10:30am, hang with the space experts from the Omaha Children’s Museum Space Program. Become a space cadet, tour the solar system, and learn important physics, chemistry, and engineering concepts. This event is free & open to the public. The kids summer series is sponsored by the Yankton Community Library and the Parks & Recreation Department.

Head on down to the Yankton Community Library on Monday, July 15th for another Kids Summer Series Event. Join musical artist, Duke Otherwise, at 6pm for an evening of hilarious and imaginative songs that all ages will delight in together. Duke is a playful wordsmith, a spirited performer, a skilled guitarist, and a captivating tap-dancer. This event is free & open to the public. The kids summer series is sponsored by the Yankton Community Library and the Parks & Recreation Department.

12th Annual Charity Poker Run

Join Stringers Bar & Grill for the 12th Annual Charity Poker Run to benefit the Yankton Sack Pack program on Saturday, July 20th. Registration starts at 11am with kickstands up at noon. All vehicles are welcome. Entry fee is $25 for this 5 stops & 200 mile poker run. Enjoy a 50/50 raffle and auction after the poker run starting at 7pm.

Kids Summer Series

Ride on down to the Yankton Community Library on Monday, July 22nd at 5:30pm for another Kids Summer Series Event. A family bike ride is planned to take place starting at the Library and travel down to Riverside Park. At 6pm, Omaha Street Percussion will perform at the Riverside Park Amphitheatre, providing a full filled, high energy, family concert for all ages. This event is free & open to the public. The kids summer series is sponsored by the Yankton Community Library and the Parks & Recreation Department.

Kids Summer Series

Join the Yankton Community Library and the Yankton Parks & Recreation Department for the final Kids Summer Series Event on Monday, July 29th. Real Reptiles will have a show at the Riverside Park amphitheatre at 5:30pm. Enjoy twice the foam fun with 2 foam canons filling up the park from 6:30-7:30pm. Plus, enjoy music, games, & food! This event is free & open to the public.
