Yankton Gazelles Softball travels to Watertown tomorrow for a matchup with the Watertown Arrows.
The Gazelles are 0-1 on the year following a season-opening loss to Brookings on Monday. Today is the season opener for the Arrows.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 PM tomorrow.
Mount Marty Softball returns to action today, traveling to Omaha, Nebraska to take on the College of Saint Mary.
The Lancers enter the games 12-16 on the season, 3-7 in conference play, following their split with Dordt on Friday. The Flames are 3-18 on the year, 1-5 in GPAC play.
The first pitch of game one is scheduled for 3:00 PM this afternoon with game two to follow.
Yankton Bucks Tennis swept their home opener yesterday, defeating Vermillion and Sioux City Heelan.
The Bucks also swept both duals, going 18-0 on the day. Matches were moved indoors to the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center due to weather.
The Bucks remain home for their next triangular, hosting Mitchell and Brandon Valley. The competition begins at 11:00 AM.
The South Dakota High School Basketball Coaches Association has announced their 2024-25 Boys Basketball All-State teams for Class AA, A, and B.
Viborg-Hurley Senior Nicholas Hanson earned his second straight 1st-team selection in Class B. Hanson led the Cougars to a runner-up finish in the state tournament last month, averaging 20.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season.
Freeman Freshman David Walter was also honored as a Class B 3rd-team selection. Full All-State teams for all classes are available below.
